TASTING NOTES: Appearing a deep garnet red, this Brunello offers a bewitching bouquet a great depth, releasing a rich array of wild dark berry fruit, with blackberryand blackcurrant, pungent balsam and black liquorice, lifted by beguiling floral notes of iris and sweet violets. The nose offers up a richly-aromatic mosaic that boasts tangy Mediterranean scrub and concludes with intriguing impressions of charred oak, smooth clove spice, roast espresso, and dark chocolate. Rich and full-bodied in the mouth, it is well supported by a magnifi cent suite of velvety tannins, elegant and seductive, that drive a remarkably lengthy progression. Overall, a wine at once powerful and elegant. TECHNICAL NOTES: Hand-split French barriques 90% one-uses, 10% new; Slavonian oak casks -36 months, in casks and in barriques.
