TASTING NOTES: Big and full-bodied, with dense, powerful tannins, but velvety and beautiful. Layered and gorgeous. TECHNICAL NOTES: Brunello di Montalcino is made 100% from Sangiovese. Traditionally, the wine goes through an extended maceration period where color and flavor are extracted from the skins. Following fermentation the wine is then aged in oak. - Fermentation and maceration: 27 days. - It matures in small oak casks for about 27 months and then in the bottle for 30 months.
