Pennette ( a mini version of Penne Lisce : smooth quills) belong to the diagonal cut smooth dried pasta family and are most likely from the Campania region. They have a 5,6 mm diameter, they are 12,5 mm long and their thicknes is between 1,08 and 1,15 mm.The ideal condiments for the Pennette are vegetable and pulse sauces such as with beans, chickpeas and lentles. Also suggested with light olive oil, tomato and basil sauce.
